I live and work in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
MY BACKGROUND
I worked as a Client Services Director for 20 years in a large ad agency. This involved project managing all aspects of multi media campaigns. Typical companies, Ulster Bank, Maxol Oil, Dunnes Stores, NIE, Viridian, Eason, Ormeau Bakery, Punjana Tea.
GOING SOLO
Since the credit crunch there has been a lot of hype around ‘the virtual office’, but I guess I invented my own virtual agency back in 2000. I have always worked from home, never employed full time staff and communicate with clients mostly by e mail and occasional meetings.
None of this would be possible without the introduction of fast broadband, fast apple macs and smart phones. I embraced it all.
